Generally speaking, this term means the tooth-to-tooth gap of the gear meshing part, but the swing cylinder calls the backlash in the rotation direction of the output shaft of the swing end as the backlash. The single rack and pinion type produces backlash on the output shaft at the swing end. If necessary, install an external stopper.
The double piston type (ASQB series) does produce backlash on the output shaft.
Because when one piston stops after hitting the stopper, it will make room for the other piston to move further, and the force of one piston acts on the driving gear, and the backlash is absorbed. However, the holding torque at the swing end is half of the effective torque.
(The micro-swing cylinder adopts a structure that does generate backlash at the swing end even with a single rack type)
